ALEKS Placement Exam (proctored)
is a research-based, online learning program that offers course products for Math, Chemistry, Statistics, and more. ÁñÁ«Ö±²¥ currently uses ALEKS for students that want to challenge their Math placement upon admission to the University.
ÁñÁ«Ö±²¥ has covered the costs for students taking the ALEKS placement examination since 2018. Starting April 2023, students who want to challenge their Math placement by taking the ALEKS must schedule a proctored exam via the Office of Professional and Academic Testing Services (formerly Testing Center) and pay the fee.
Fee & Payment:
There is a $25.00 fee required to take the ALEKS. Payment must be made via credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express) to register for the exam. The charge will appear as PrepBlast/ResgisterBlast on your statement.
In-Person Proctored Testing:

3669 Alumni Drive, Memphis TN. 38152 (Brister Hall 111 & 112)- At least two (2) days/times each week will be made available. Please note that dates and times are subject to change.

On Exam Day:
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time; arriving more than 15 minutes after your scheduled reporting time will require you to reschedule.
- Your UofM username and password and/or ALEKS username and password is required for testing - please have it with you on exam day or you will be required to reschedule - please note that you will not have the opportunity to to retrieve your username and password on exam day.
- A valid government issued photo ID with signature is required for testing.
