  • When you reach the application, first select your current or most recent term of enrollment. You will select your graduation date a few screens into the application.

However, it is required that all students apply to graduate  in order to receive their diploma, but participating in the ceremony is optional.

Please visit the Commencement Office website to complete the necessary steps needed to participate in the Commencement ceremony.

You can find your graduation status in the top far right corner of your UMdegree accessed via . 

MGMT 4710 serves as the senior capstone course for the BBA degree and can only be taken by graduating seniors in their final semesters.

Students must submit an application for graduation before they will be eligible to register forMGMT 4710.

BA 4000 is a zero-credit course that can only be taken by graduating seniors in their final semester.

BA 4000 includes the Fogelman Skills Test and Senior Survey.

Students must apply for graduation before they can register for BA 4000.

EARLY Participation is not allowed at the University of Memphis.

All students must be approved for the current term in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. You cannot participate early for any reason. If you are not in your final required coursework for graduation, you are not eligible for graduation and thus not available to participate in Commencement. If you have questions about this, contact the Commencement Office.

Academic Advisors cannot determine your right to participate early in the Commencement ceremonies.

Yes.

Your degree can be certified and receive your diploma in the summer. Summer graduates will participate in the December commencement ceremony, as there are no Summer commencement ceremony.
