Miller Named as New Dean of College of Education

Renick Makes Headlines for Research on Expanding University Reward System

COE Research Grant Award Winner: Huan Gao

Dr. Gao's Research is titled "Educational Support Strategies: Information-Seeking Practices of Chinese Immigrant Parents in Low-Density Areas."

CEPR Doctoral Student Adds to Long List of Awards

MEMPHIS, Tenn. 鈥� Jessica Minton has been working toward her doctorate degree within the College of Education鈥檚 Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology & Research (CEPR). Throughout the years, she鈥檚 received noticeable recognition for her work as an educator. Minton tells us her passion for learning started at a young age.

CEPR Graduate Graces the Cover of Bluff City Magazine 

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The latest cover of Bluff City Magazine features the face of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research (CEPR) graduate Karla Lewis. Lewis, known to many as 鈥淐oach Karla,鈥� is a professional counselor in Memphis, who started her own private practice during the outset of the pandemic.

NEW HIRES

Since our last newsletter, the College of Education has added seven faculty members: four (4) in the Department of Instruction and Curriculum Leadership (ICL), two (2) in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research (CEPR), and one (1) in the Department of Leadership (LEAD).  

These hires are expected to start their roles in the coming fall semester. Headshots and bios will be featured in the next newsletter.
