Transfer Equivalency Self-Service (TESS)
The Transfer Equivalency Self-Service (TESS) system helps you understand how courses taken at other institutions can transfer and be applied towards a University of Memphis degree. It's easy to use! Once you enter your transfer work into the system, you'll see an unofficial transfer and degree evaluation showing your progress towards completing your University of Memphis degree.
Steps to Use TESS:
- : Start by creating an account or logging in as a guest.
- Enter Enrollment Details: Choose your intended enrollment period, select Undergraduate, your intended degree, major, concentration, and minor. It's okay if you don't have all the information yet.
- Input Courses and Terms: Search for your institution(s) and enter your courses and terms.
- If a course isn't listed, it may not have been evaluated yet. After you have applied and submited your official transcript, all courses will be evaluated and you will be notified the evaluation is complete.
- Review Your Evaluation: Check your unofficial transfer and degree evaluation to see the credit you should receive and your degree progress percentage.
Important Notes:
- The transfer and degree evaluation reports generated by TESS are unofficial. Official evaluations are completed only after you submit your official transcripts and are fully admitted to the University of Memphis.
- If you don't see equivalencies for your transfer work, review other transfer resources for more information or email admissions@memphis.edu.
- The data in TESS is based on our student record system and may not include all institutions or courses. This tool provides general information and should not be viewed as final or complete.
UG Admissions staff are ready to assist with any questions you have about your transfer work.
