Polytechnic Programs
The Polytechnic @ UofM is new academic unit launching in Fall 2025, offering programs designed to enhance workforce preparedness. These condensed curricula (30-40 credits) feature alternative math requirements and flexible electives, allowing students to pair technical programs with other majors. Additionally, credits can be earned through transfers, certifications, and real-world experiences.
Degree and Certificate Programs
Starting in Fall 2025, Poloytechnic@UofM will introduce degree programs in:
- Information Technology
- Manufacturing Supervision
- Construction Leadership
Additionally, two certificate programs will be available to all students:
- Manufacturing Leadership
- Networking and Security
Manufacturing Supervision
Gain practical knowledge in supervisory management, lean concepts, quality analysis, and production control. This certificate prepares you for roles in:
- Operations/Manufacturing Supervision
- Quality Assurance and Control
- Continuous Improvement and Lean Management

Networking and Security
Learn essential skills in operating systems, networking technologies, and cybersecurity. Prepares students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification.
