Biography

James Youn is a Marketing PhD Student at the Fogelman College of Business & Economics. He is a member of the Graduate Student Association (GSA) and serves on the Executive Board of the Institute of Intelligent Systems Student Organization (IISSO) as the Vice President and Treasurer at the University of Memphis.

Before joining the PhD program, he was an Instructor in the Marketing Department at Southeast Missouri State University for six years and taught various Marketing courses; Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Professional Selling, and Strategic Marketing. James has published in the Journal of Business Research and possesses extensive industry experience in entrepreneurship, trade, sport marketing, Sales and manufacturing. The broad area of James’ dissertation topic is Political Ideology and Consumer Choice.

Fun Fact: James cooks too spicy Korean food and still thinks he is a single handicap golfer.
