Biography
Kandyce Everett joined the University of Memphis CCFA team in January 2025 as the Music Therapy Research Scientist.
Over the past several years, Everett has diligently worked to develop and implement new music therapy programs for various organizations including, hospice, behavioral health, and most notably the Veteran’s Affairs hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas. During this time, she became verse in developing budget and operating plans for programming, evaluating quality and effectiveness of programs, and creating music therapy programming for diverse populations.
Prior, Everett served in higher education as Visiting Instructor of Music at Oklahoma Christian University. In this position, she served in a variety of roles, including, Accompanist/Assistant Music Director for Large Music Productions, Steel Band Director, “Music Appreciation” Instructor, and Music Department Recruitment Lead.
A Dallas, TX native, Everett graduated from the University of Iowa with a master’s degree in Music Therapy. Her undergraduate degree was obtained from Oklahoma Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Music, a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts Management, and a minor in Communication Design.
