Biography
Dan Froehlich joined the University of Memphis CCFA team in March 2025 as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications.
Froehlich has spent over two decades on college campuses, including a 17-year run in the athletics department of Auburn University as an assistant/associate director of media relations. During his time with Auburn he worked with many teams and student-athletes that went on to great success, including 2015 MLB American League MVP Josh Donaldson, incoming president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Kirsty Coventry and multiple NFL & MLB draft picks. He was a part of five national championship swimming and diving teams and also has a ring from the 2011 Auburn Football BCS National Championship.
A Dix Hills, N.Y., native, Froehlich graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications. Other stops in his professional career include Kansas Wesleyan University, the University of Kentucky, the Colonial Athletic Association and the Capital City Bombers.
Froehlich and his wife, Stephanie, U of M Vice President, Engagement, have two sons: Jackson and Cole.
