Guaranteed Admission Pathways
As a progressive Research 1 university committed to access, the UofM offers multiple pathways to become a Tiger. There are five pathways for which a student can earn guaranteed admission as an undergraduate student:
- Earned an Associates degree (AA/AS) from an accredited community college. Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degrees may be considered for admission, but are not eligible for guaranteed admission.
- A calculated transfer GPA of 2.5 or greater with at least 15 earned hours of college-level credit (excluding developmental coursework).
- Take a dual enrollment course with the UofM during your senior year of high school.
- Complete all four of the Tiger Prep Dual Enrollment courses prior to high school graduation (available at select high schools only).
- Complete all three modules of the Tiger Prep Academy during the summer immediately following high school graduation (May/June graduates only) and prior to the start of fall classes. This is an invitation only opportunity.
- Particpate in One Step Closer.
Prospective students meeting any one of these criteria are eligible for guaranteed admission. Students must submit an undergraduate application, application fee, and all required materials.
